The FTP Cat 6 modular plugs are made from high quality engineering plastic with brass gold over nickel plating contacts.

For best results use with the 'Easy' crimp tool, it allows you to cut, strip and terminate a plug all in one. The Crimp tool Trims the excess wires as it crimps.

See below for the 4 step 'Easy' Instructions


1	Remove approximately 20mm of outer jacket using the multi-purpose crimp tool.

2	Arrange wires into the correct colour code sequence (most commonly TIA 568B). Slot cable into the plug pushing the wires through. Outer sheath of cable should sit inside the plug as far up as possible.

3	Press the ‘Lock’ Button on Crimp tool to open it ready for use. Insert the loaded RJ45 plug into the socket and squeeze the handle to crimp the plug, the excess wire will also be trimmed at the same time.

4	If you have followed the instructions you should now have a fully working RJ45 Connection.

Plugs are a good choice for a quicker install since two piece plugs can be fiddly to wire up. You do need to check once you've fed the wires that they pushed through correctly before terminating since I found two where wires crossed when being fed onto the plug. Crimp tool does a good job of stripping too. I did find that these plugs were hard to get over the Cat6 cable sheath on occasion.
